They would be the badges that denote the engine capacity, 200 6cyl was badgeless there, 250 & then 250 with 170HP below was for the base & then 2V 250, V8 was for the 302 & then 351 was for...... a BLOODY GOOD THING

XA GS didn't have any external decals/badges to say it was a GS whereas XB's had a GS decal the same height as the thickness of the side stripes at the rear end of the side stripes on the rear quarter panels & it didn't matter if it was a sedan, wagon, coupe, ute or van, the XB GS stripes/logo's were all the same style with their colour being the only variation.
