Thanks Bluebear for the comments and the offer on the computer issues. Unfortunately the drive won't spin any more after it was formatted it failed a short time after. I have another drive that I'm going to change the drive Pcb over to see if I can get it to run again when I get time. Hopefully it will run again. Then I can try and recover the hidden data. Time will tell its a rainy day thing.
