This fault has not been a secret. It has been widely publicised on Australian media since the 'scandal' broke some time ago. You don't need to be a car nut to know about it.
None of my friend's, or family's cars are on list, and if they had been, I would have been telling them about it.


Problem is replacement parts, some owners have had old alpha bags replaced under voluntary recall by new alpha units whilst waiting for a suitable replacement (updated) model airbag so many don’t bother or respond to manufacturer requests. This will make all affected eventually get proper replacements.,,
