The 2.3 EBs have a big issue with cracking blocks when you turn up the boost,
it's round the back on the Exhaust side of the block, the lower head bolt cavities can and do crack through....LINK

Spoiler: It's all to do with exhaust reversion with smaller than optimal exhaust turbine housing.
