That’s a stupid cynical post.

Yes, Holden are a great Australian Brand, they made cars for this great country and employed many Australians for many years, they were one of our country’s great Icons.

Now they are basically gone.

Now go away and float your boat.
Couldn't agree more ,spot on . Never mind what has happened in the past few years with things Holden and Ford did or didn't do . That's not the really the issue here . The fact is that Holden built some bloody good cars for a demanding country for many decades and so did Ford .

Both companies built cars , wagons , utes , vans , luxury , coupe's and SUV's like Territory here with our people for our people and employed a lot of Aussies in the factories and via parts makers and dealerships . Most of the time while fighting big brother GM and Ford for development permissions and money .

In more recent times decisions could have been made that might not have been that great it seems but no-one can deny that the last cars that rolled off the factory floors ,mostly locally designed and developed via Holden's VE/VF Commodore and Ford's FG/FGX Falcon and Territory in particular are bloody beaut cars by any standard .

Like Fordman said ...Get it right , hugely Australian companies in reality no matter where the parent companies were located .
