Think about that a bit.
Where is all that going to happen? bring the car to the engine or the engine to the car?
Also how to locate this backyarder that would need to be nearby to make it worthwhile and what guarantee would you have of his work and skills?
And finally if all the ducks magically lined up the car would still need a blueslip and greenslip.
It's a hell of a lot of effort and $ to get back to squareone and that's assuming finding such a cheap engine and backyarder
