There was a time when Ford contemplated bringing in Aussie Falcons to try in the lucrative cop car etc market but they didn't of course .
Holden did sell a few to PD's...and 12,000 VF's and not too sure how many Commodores sold as G8's and Pontiacs before that to the public and didn't make any real difference ultimately did it ? The Commodore has a real fraternity there too with a lot of passion..Still made no difference..
Holden and Ford were on borrowed time for a long time . I'm just thankful now that we had our Aussie content cars for as long as we did .
