Hey guys and gurls..
I have been itching to see a decent live band that plays 80's & newer music and tripped over this a few minutes ago: https://www.thehscc.com/live Watched a Youtube video on the band and they are insane, meaning good. Video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xecVC3TPt_Q **I purposely have not provided a preview clickable YT option** I decided to "lock it in Eddie" and was presented with a few options: So I thought yeah, purchasing refund protection would be a good idea, as the tickets are worth a couple of hund deee. Hmm, so far so good, then I read the fine print: Really? That's why I am purchasing the refund insurance in the first place. Just in case the band cancels. But, as is clearly stated above, that's not the case. If they (the band) pull the pin, I lose my dosh. What A RIP. I will book the tickets, just not with the extra $15.14 "insurance". What gives? Why would you buy the insurance? One Man.

This is what I’d do. Never mind the tickets:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/355850953455 And watch for an auction like this (could be a bargain)… https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/286051028642 More seriously, if you have doubts over your ability to fill both seats due to a situation outside the scope of their “insurance” - don’t book. yer what a rort when buying online at times and they get away with it with ease....
Goo dluck hope it goes forward so you can enjoy good ol live music like in the good days. My wife and I enjoy live gigs alot and some friends, couple are still in their own bands doing small time gigs incl EOY work functions. Lucky here in Syd we have a couple of great small venue places that have ongoing cover bands regularly. So much variety as well depending the type of vibes your into. Seen quite a few Status Quo, Queen, Stones, Jimi, Zep etcetc covers that take me back to the live pubs days growing up. Prices vary but your not paying more than $50 most evenings. Beverage and food available its a hoot, got to uber home I'm way over 0.05 haha https://www.camelotlounge.com/whats-on

Imagery there reminds me of the late lamented “Fresh” in Launceston.

Hi. I think you will find that you would be entitled to a refund under Australian consumer laws if the event is "cancelled, abandoned... etc" whether you have insurance or not. Cheers MD

Been going for sometime now, highly recommend when staying in Syd mate whats on that ticks your boxs. Has 2 floors 2 gigs/stages. The gigs we have gone really impressed by some of the cover bands. Blend of young and old muso's incl the crowd obviously. Probably going the Credance gig Saturday.

HSCC are great - I found them in COVID times. The original producer/partner has gone his own way with SingItLive.
I like their productions on Youtube - showcasing a lot of fantastic Adelaide talent. Have a lot of both groups streaming via youtube music.
