High series such as Fairmont and XR do, base models dont. The indent for the lights is moulded into every trim regardless of model, take the trim off and look at the back of it and you will see what i mean.

Now bugger off and get your own mod ideas : :togo:

I think JC did it, but as a quick (its 2am and im going off memory so be nice) rundown:

10mm bolt behind the round panel near your grab handle (just in front of it, pop the round bit out and youll see the bolt in there)

12mm bolt behind the door handle fascia (the bit of plastic that is in behind the door handle, it comes out, can slide it off over the handle itself)

2x philips head screws at the bottom of the doortrim (you will see where they are, they have caps over them)

1x philips head screw on the side of the doortrim near the edge of the door (open the door right up and look at where the trim meets the door on the exit side)

1x philips head screw under the power window switches (the panel with the switch in it comes up if you carefully prise it up, look in there and you'll see the screw)

From memory thats all of em. On the drivers side, to get the trim off you also need to unplug the power mirror controls, but its all plug and play, and it only goes on and comes off one way, so impossible to stuff up.

Looking at that picture, it looks like you have to cut the carpet trim. The last time I took the trim off there was no bulb holder and I don't remember seeing a place to screw one in.

If I'd known about this, i could have done it last week while i was doing the floor lights

You're correct about cutting the carpet trim. If you look on the back of the doortrim in the area where my light is, you will see the indent. I cut it out with a stanley knife, the fitted the lights and glued them in. The hole needs to be pretty accurate to hold onto them.

The bulb holder is a complete part that comes from a Fairlane, you'll need to buy it and fit it in. Its not in the door already.

Its easy to wire up, I just put mine into the same loom as I made up for the ones under the dash.
