Thought I'd share my happiness. New wheels on the old EB - look great!
Supposed to be a work horse, but needed 2 new tyres and these where cheaper with good rubber than that - love ebay! And they are like new. Now I love the look of the car. Must tidy the rest! I'm not sure about saloons, but I reckon on the wagon this look of wheel is perfect - better than a modern style. All IMHO of course! Andy

 : My mums EA wagon has a set of 14" Cheviots on it... Definatly different... :P

dump it? Ah - not really my thing. I like to actually go places. Plus I like the retro look. Very starsky and hutch...
I may well go stiffer sway bar plus rear bar at some point though. I was tempted to jack it up a little and put the spare type on the boot, to keep a jerry can company.... I'm looking for more the Aussie outback classic look than the street car look.

I've just put stockies on my Sprint- front 15x6 with 225/60/15's and 15x8 with 265/50/15's on the rear. (Only just under the gaurds!)
Whilst fitting them, i realised that if you're a 70's child, width is more important than diameter of your wheels! |

looks good. at least you didnt go for the 'pram' look with oversize 18 or 19 inch rims.
and noosacuda, im with you, but not so much for e series, on the old xd-xf really wide tyres make the car look tough, if bogan like (the whole car looks bogan like actually, so why not). i miss the old days seeing old fords and holdens on wide tyres, these days too many people are putting pram wheels on there car, i dont get it? it looks like the aussies have fallen jap ricer. |

Pram. Bwahahahahaha! Now that is funny. Some cars suit wide, some suit diammeter. My old MR2 looked great with diameter, but the wagon is such an old skool look I think the "fat" look is very ...... "groovy man".
