G'day....
I have just noticed that there is something wrong with the indicator. If I turn left, everything is correct and the relay flashes at normal speed. If I turn on the hazard lights, same thing, everything is fine. If I turn right, the indicator relay flashes very fast. I changed the relay and it is still the same. Could it be the body electronics module (BEM)? Can the BEM somehow be reset The confusing bit is that it seems to be all good when turning left or when using the hazard lights. The fault only occurs when turning right. Maybe someone has had the same problems and has an idea what that is. (Ford Falcon Futura 4.0 Automatic) Cheers The Moose |

check that all the lights flash -if one is blown it will flash faster , if any of those are LED type bulbs it can cause the same symptom. Cheers. Another thought, if you have a factory type tow hitch and wiring, they sometimes have a cover on the socket that closes a pair of contacts for the indicators, perhaps give them a clean?

Hi there....
thanks mate....can't get to the car yet because my wife took it but I'll check the light bulbs (should have done that straight away). Yes, we have a tow bar but that spring loaded little plastic cover seems to be shutting properly. I rarely use the tow bar but moisture could have probably caused it to corrode. have to check that as well. I'll keep you updated. It shouldn't be a big problem as the circuit is relatively simple. There is only the indicator switch, the relay and the bulbs. Thanks mate... Cheers The Moose |
