Hey all,
As some of you know I blew the motor in my EB, chunks of the timing case went flying. : I think the aux shaft seized or something. Have a look here if you're interested. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=26781 Anyways i've slowly been pulling everything apart, doing a lot of cleaning, some painting etc. Got a new motor for it, it's a 3.9 but it will do the job untill i can afford a reco motor. Come up allright with a degrease. It's all ready to drop in. This weekend i'm gunna get a crane remove the old motor and swap the trans and clutch etc over then drop the 3.9 in, then it's just a matter of pluggin everything back in doing up a few bolts etc and hopefully starting the ИИИИИИ on sunday. Hopefully everything goes to plan, shouldn't be too hard. Here a pic of how the EB stands at the moment. So if anyone has any tips or hints for the swap they would be greatly appreciated. I've helped do this swap twice before, once with dougs AU motor, and also helped Sundeep with his EL motor, so I have a pretty good idea of what i'm doing. I'm pretty sure i got the dizzy setup right. So hopefully she starts first crank. : Wish me luck lol. Damo |

Mick I painted the overflow bottle cause it was all yucky looking, you couldn't see any green. Dan, nah i havn't got a crane organised yet, I figured i just go down to Kennards on saturday and grab one, you don't have one I could borrow do ya ? :P Dave, shut up cant. The only things I need to grab are a bottom radiater hose and a T piece for the heater hoses to gas converter. |

Ive had a few 6cyl on skateboards, works a treat. Tried putting my 308 with all accessories onto one not long ago, and had one end spit out and dint the side of the shed. There were many stupid skaterboy jokes to be had on that day.

just a quick question guys. The vacuum tree on the back of the manifold with 3 connections, what connects to the middle one, i know brake booster on the big one and fuel reg on the end one, but i can't find any other loose vacuum lines.
Bit of an Update, yesterday I borrowed an engine crane from dansedgli (thanks mate) and today I unbolted the engine and gearbox mounts and removed the tailshaft. Tied the A/C compressor out of the way, did some more cleaning up etc. So it's all ready to come out tommorrow. The only thing i'm worried about is getting the angles right to remove and refit the motors, but i'm sure i'll work it out just gotta fiddle with the chain a bit to get the right angle i guess.. I'll update this thread again or start a new one sometime tommorrow evening if/when I get the car going again. Fun and games tommorrow. : |

It is for your vent selector and heater, should be a thin black feed line.
