I was just interested in what people think of upgrading from a ED 1993 Fairmont Ghia, with better then average mag wheels, lowered, mp3 cd system,
to a 1997 El Fairmont Ghia, with SVO bodykit and lots of little extras. the car has a website http://www.fpv666.com/index1.html My future plans for my car, was to chuck on a Eb Gt bodykit which is sadly sitting in my shed, waiting for some love and care. Is the upgrade worth it? |

Has potential with all the stickers removed/car badged, boot spoiler removed and some nice shadow chrome 19's/lowering job....

It's your call mate. There are cheaper EL Ghias out there but then again it comes with extras which would naturally bump up the price a little...
Don't expect a great resale rate on the ED though mate. -Dave- |

8k is cheap. I'd buy it.
EL Ghias are the best E-series you can get. except for EL GT

What kinda power does a el tickford 6 cyl put out?
i know any kind of figures i get at a 1/4 mile test, would be fairly low due to the extra weight of the car, with the kit, and ghia extras, does anyone have an idea??? Would i be looking at much engine work to slap on a turbo? Are the tickford engines sorta ready for slapping on turbo kits?? |

Turbo kits can be bought cheap, labour will be big $$$ though if you dont install it yourself. Non-tickford engines are probably slighlty better for turbo applications (lower comp i think?) but if running low boost theres probably nothing in it. |

Hi,
I am the owner of the EL FPV666. I have just joined the forums and will get involved over some time. Nobody seems to like the stickers hey! Anyway, she is a beautiful car and I just want a new toy to play with over the holidays while I am kid free. She is currently listed on eBay. Item number: 150072124334. Cheers, Daz
