You should be reporting it to Police. You don't know what else this oxygen waster has been involved in. What if it had been a female member of your family

Man what a lowlife. Sometimes you kind of wish that these people would try something, just so you can unleash on them. But then you'd end up in more trouble with the law than they do.

I think our advice would be far more affective ,you know where nannying has got us. Thats exactly the problem ,not enough action to deter these scum.

On topic, when you report if if you havent already, you feared for your safety. You said what you said, but deep down you were fearful for your safety.

At the very least, that will make it an assault, if they cant prove anything else.

Similar happened to me one Friday night in Kallangur back in 2002 - got a few hundred out at the local Westpac ATM and turned around and got bailed up by 2 "oxygen theives" and one took the swing at me and broke one of my teeth and split the lip and I got a few good hits in and one of the ones I connected with caved his head in on the pavers on the way down and his mate done the bolt.
After 3 years and a few court cases I was let off with self defence - it almost cost me my job my freedom and my marriage and a few thousand in costs
Lucky there was CCTV from a nearby shop as the ATM had no camera and a few persons that seen it in the progress, but they in his defence did not want to use it, I had 110% co operation and backing from the police as he and his family was "very well known" to them
His "free laywer from the free grub pile" stated that I should of just given in and not fought back as he was in HARDSHIP - mind you I was 31 and he was 19 - I was 110kg and he was about 65kg and that was brought up many times that I overpowered him and it was not necessary
I actually think he walked ayay from it with nothing

At least he asked 'nicely'. He didnt want any violence. Nothing to do with the fact he couldnt fight his way out of a paper bag

It is Urangan, oxygen waster central......

But yes a quick call with a description would be a good idea, ther odds are pretty high that they will already know who it is.

Dude is obviously a can short of a six pack if he didn't take off after trying it on that other couple with the onsite security guard, good thing though that it didn't turn into a physical altercation like a lot are.

You should've acted like a woos and hope he tried something, then you could have given him what he deserved aswell as make the town a better place. While we are on the subject, and when I was not quite as nice and forgiving as I am today, I once had 2 guys follow me into the dunnies to try and rob me, after one of them grabed me , I smacked him in the guts ,while he had no breath I pushed him down into the trof so he was laying directly in it and continued to flush the chain with my foot on top of him while looking at his mate like I was then going to kill him. The other guy ran out of there while I was still flushing his mate. These lowlife just need to be taught a lesson.

Perhaps, but you're only saying that because he walked away unscathed.
What if he had a knife or a gun on him and was mentally unstable, and not afraid to kill people to get a few dollars?

At some times, it is simply best to just give up when they want. Sure, it sucks, but better to lose money than a kidney, an eye or your life...

Sorry to be the party pooper...

They could also just take your money and then shoot or stab you, I won't go down with out a fight but at the same time I am fairly smart about when and where I get cash out.

That's cool...I mean as a general rule, and not to you in particular...

If people have the skills to defend themselves then using proper judgement, it can happen...

It is a case by case thing, but in general, people really must be careful.

I understood what you meant mate, tis all good.
Just these days, and these scum you think you will be alright just handing over the cash only to be beaten or killed anyway, just saying I wouldn't go out that way.

All the skill required is a steady hand and a good trigger finger.

Pfft. That's for smart people.
Id much rather people stood up for themselves and made awesome, witty 1 liners.
As long as they know how to defend them selves that is.
I'm luckily yet to even use my martial arts in the street, never been in a fight outside of the club, and being a teenager going out to the club and parties all the time, i've been started pretty often, i just walk away all the time.
Not worth the sore hand in the morning

Had a similar thing happen to me years ago , a young kid came up with a knife just as I was turning away from the machine and putting my wallet in my back pocket . After he demanded the money I simply said "You'd better know how to use that thing or I'll take it off you and use it on you ' . He went totally to water and ran . Only then did I realise what I had just done .

Should've taught him a lesson that he wouldn't forget so he might be less adventurous to try this next time.

This same thing happened to me years ago also. I put my hands up then proceeded to give him a 20 but didn't let go of it then slipped him a kick just behind his saddle bags. Lifted him a good foot or so in the air by which time he was clutching his nuts before hitting the ground in agony, his mouth and eyes wide open desperately trying to suck in air. I didn't speck a word to him, just walked to my car and drove off. Scumbag!
He wasn't really bright this lad I reckon. It was after 9.30 at night and had just completed 2 1/2hr training section and still dressed in my training gear ...... with Zen Do Ki printed all over it.
But ***** happens........ even to the dumbest of people.

One thing I was taught at training was:
* fight as a last resort to protect yourself, the innocent and those you care about
* never punch someone in the face. Punch through it (aim for the back of the head)
* and a man who cannot see or stand cannot fight.
My incident occurred when I was only 19/20 yrs old. Fit, strong and could move very quickly. Nowadays, 20 odd years on, sparring with my 14yr old who is into martial arts also, you can see things coming, the mind says "get out of the way idiot!", the body asks "What! Now?", to which the mind says "forget it lad. Brace yourself. This is going to hurt."
I prefer the laid back life now as the body and joints hurt to much due to to much abuse and hard work earlier in life.

Just reading what others have to say and their ordeal, just goes to show society has been going to hell in a handbag for a hell of a long while. Still, good to see there are still some good people out there who are prepared to say "No", I will not accept this behaviour. Good on you all for making a stand.
