Well, I can only comment as an owner of a 2010 CL Focus, but I'm sure the LX is at least equal...

Headlights are fine.

A/C works well here in WA. I've only had it up to level 3 (of 5) even in high 30's temperatures.

Fuel economy is something I'm not super happy about, but I do about 70/30 city/freeway driving and have averaged around 9.5L/100km. I don't drive it too hard, but it is an automatic, so it will use a little more fuel than a manual. Getting a manual, or better still a diesel, will use even less fuel.

They've got a new LX out now (called "LV Mark II) with bluetooth/voice control and better looking stereos, so make sure you know what you're getting: expect to pay a bit less for the "older" model (still an LV, but without the bluetooth/voice control).
