Ford would have made the doco, so its not Ch9's fault the marketing budget only allowed for 30mins.

Yeah I know that, just saying. Good on Ford for doing it, just thought they would have gone a bit more all out for it.

Barely enough time to do a decent cover on the FG range, let alone 50 years of the mighty Falcon !!! Still, if it's on here in Tas, I'll be watching it...

30 minutes would barely cover the XR-XB GT's development and killing off of them alone. Let alone development changes from X series to E series etc.

Who knows, maybe it's a 30 minute doco on the 50th Anniversary FG Falcon. It's nice dweling on the history of the Falcon, but 30 minutes on the current model and future updates would be smarter.

Incase this isn't shown in Kiwiland, any chance someone could upload to YouTube?
Although if the Ford Marketing dept. have have a clue they'll do it themselves (in HD) as soon as it airs on TV. |

One of the things I noticed, is that it specifically said that the Phase 3 GTHO had 381 HP (284kw). Not sure if that was actually ever stated by Ford before.
They had a 30 second section made up of snip's from "Love the Beast". A fair bit of it was made up of an Interview with Dick Johnson. Discussing mainly bathurst and an AD he was in. There was more, but those are the main things I remember.... |

No mention of anything between EB and AU though.....so time was obviously short. No real meat, just a whole series of pictures and glossy info. So yes, a 30 minute advertisement.
HOWEVER, there were some interesting interviews that were cut brief. So it might be nice to see a proper 2 hour documentary - or even a multi-disc doco series - come out of this, available for sale on the shelves of your local Ford dealer. Lukeyson
