Default Most annoying things about your E-series

Basically what are the three top things on your car that annoy or irritate you the most. Here's the three things that bug me the most about my car. There's plenty more that i can think of, but these are the ones that have been annoying me the most lately!.

1. The damm coolant system!. No matter how times i fix up a leak, another leak appears from some where else. On my 5th leak, now at the heater tap

2. When it rains all the doors stick to the seals, forcing me to rip the door handle's off the car while trying to open the car (not good when trying to open doors in a car park!)

3. The rear end of my car sit's to high for a lowered car, annoys me everytime i look at it! Non E-series memebers dont even relise the car has been lowered!

1. Using too much petrol
2. stinky exhaust (so bad it burns my eyes when im behind it)
3. Rattly catalytic converter.

Apart from those things, the car is perfect-a-mundo

3 is the problem to 2 and possibly 1.

I don't have any problems because I don't drive my e-series car.

You mean design faults? Not just crap we haven't fixed? Im pretty sure there was a similar thread a while back. I cant think of three things right now, ill get back to you on that. But......

Who the hell thought orange was a good colour to use for dash lights, some days you cannot read a thing! And when you turn your headlights on during the day they dim aswell!

lol Scotty

1. My squeaky suspension. I've replaced springs, shocks, and bushes yet it still squeaks. Ball joints are next on the list.

2. My front end damage. It isn't noticable, but it still isn't perfect and therefore annoys me.

3. Aircon and heater. Everytime I fix my heater, my aircon stops working. Every time I fix my aircon, my heater stops. Can't I just have both?

You can control the brightness of the LCD displays in the Ghias with the lights on or off. Just hold up the dimmer tab on the headlight switch with the headlights off for the day setting and with lights on for the night level brightness. It could be that some of your dash globes are blown or just geting tired. I changed a few of mine lately and can see everything better in daylight now. Make sure to replace the little blue covers on the bulbs or the LCD displays will look too 'warm' in colour.

Yeah, damn cooling system probs on the V8s too. Never ending.

1. You can never get them low enough and still have a decent ride. Unlike alot of commodores and BA's which can be low enough and still have a decent ride.

I'll think about 2 and 3 and post up later.

Another one here for cooling system leaks, can never seem to get rid of them! but what annoys me most is not having cup holders.

Speak for yourself! The EL has had no coolent issue, and it has cup holders, but they aren't the best design ever.

Then there is hope yet, i will keep at it or rip the heater out one of the two. Still won't have cupholders though.

Well if we were talking about my previous EA's then thats another story.

LOL....I do tell a little porkey, I did replace the radiator, but only 'cos the car has racked up 240,000k's. Prevention people, dont wait for it to die!

The cupholder are as useless as BA ones, but they only just do the job.

Thats impressive!

The radiator in mine had already been replaced before i got the car so thats never been the problem its all the stupid little heater hoses and coolant hoses to the egr plate etc etc that cause the problems, at least it doesn't leak oil though.

hoses are any cars worst nightmare.....i used to crack it at the condition my hoses used to be in, and just go out and replace all, it's not worth blowing a hose especially if it can lead onto replace headgaskets.........lol or coils, they're fun to fit
