just wondering if anyone could tell me how much i am likely to get for my car if i sold it..standard 4 speed auto EA S pack falcon, has aftermarket central locking and power windows, also a drivers electric mirror..a very minor parking dent about 2cm across on the front left bumper is its biggest fault..apart from that it has minor things like missing ashtray e.c.t. Very clean and tidy, 253,000 kms, driven 25+ hours per week and runs very well..there it is, sitting in fellow exotic car company, a Mercedes 300E-24 lol..

lol..the fact that it can get to its top speed is proof that it still runs like new, no ashtray discourages smoking so you dont die at the age of 30 from lung cancer, the high kms prove its a durable car..id say its worth 1.5 maybe 2 grand..

i must admit it had an assload of wind noise at 180, not the most pleasant car to drive at high speed..i dont think you need a RWC in SA its registered and is used every day as a pizza delivery vehicle..basically a taxi which means it has to be (and is) bulletproof..

yeah i was thinking about the same, you can pick up an EF with less kms in good nick for $2500, I should know thats what my last one cost, so an EA, yeah I'd be happy with $1000

If you get a RWC though it'll be worth a fair bit more.

yeah but it doesn't help that more bullet proof newer cars are available for not much more money. I hope you do get $2000 I really do but who's going to pay that when you can get a much newer EF for $500 more.
Its your choice at the end of the day and its worth whatever anyone will pay for it but i'd advertise for $1500 and be happy if anyone offered me anything over $1000

I'd go for $1500 as a start price. you might get more depending on how it holds up to an inspection.

You'd honestly be lucky to get anything for it. I'd take anything over $500

If you are lucky, you might find someone to take it off your hands without charging you. But don't get your hopes up after all it is an EA

Geez, I got $3k for my EA S pack about 12 years ago. Clean and tidy with a lot less k's. It's not like they're a collectable car, I thought I was lucky getting $3k for it when I did. I'd be happy if I got $1500 if I still had the same car.

Only one model up from my last car , it was an XF 4sp , 4.1 Wagon , country car , absolutely No rust , 214,000 k's reasonable condition . Best offer $ wise was $175-00 . I could have wrecked it & sold it in bit's , but didn't want the hassle of a wreck in my yard for months, so I took a better offer . ( Don't think people like Yellow Wagons , Hahaha)
The reason for getting rid of the XF was to put P/Steer on my XB . My mechanic jokingly said " You give me the XF and I'll put the P/Steer on the XB , Give it a Buff up , and do any Odd Jobs you need on it ". & I get to keep the Mag's . Well , I had the XF down to him the next day ..... So I reckon if someone offers you $500 + , grab it , the longer you hang out for more money , the harder it will be to sell . Other Question , any Rego on it ? Just my 2c worth .

I sold my ED fUTURA 6 or so months ago, 4 months reg, reco 3.45 LSD, 4 spd auto, tinted windows, 15's etc... All it needed for RWC was brake pads and 2 tyres. $1500. I was pretty happy with that honestly....
If someone offer you $500 for an EA, take it and run your way to the pub!

mine has rego till october 23rd..i seriously dont see why you people wouldnt at least try to sell your falcons for a normal price..i have seen 90% of early 90s Lasers sell regularly for 3000+ dollars and they are crap as. Strangely, VN Calais are selling for 3500+ from the same era as my car, even executives fetch 2 grand..why the poor falcon?

Secondly, Falcons have taken a beating on the used car market for a long time now. They're generally a fair bit cheaper than the equivalent year Commodore. I bought an EL Futura in ok condition for less than half what you think your ea is worth. I bought an immaculate 1 owner EF Futura with low kays with reg and rwc for what you think you ea is worth. I bought a fairly well modified EL Futura in good nick, with a tonne of aftermarket parts for less than what you think your ea is worth. Need I go on....

a laser is a different market altogether. people like small cars as they are fuel efficient. a Holden is always worth more, they have the bogan factor. buy a commodore and your automatically cool. October last year, 03 BA Fairmonts were "worth" $21000 at car yards. i bought mine for $12650. same Km's and same condition as the car yards. mines also insured for $21000. do you really still want to sit there and tell everyone how some dodgey thrashed EA is still worth $1500? i think your user name says it all. get a clue at least or go back to the commodore forums. |

what about the fairlanes and LTD's??
Down here you need at least 3K to score an immaculate NA. But i've seen POS's go for less though.

they aren't all buckets of sh!t, but even this would only attract a couple of grand and its not exactly standard so a standard one would be worth all
