Default Auto to manual conversion

Hi There
I have an EL XR8 and an EB V8 Fairmont. Both are automatic and I would like to convert them to manual. Has anyone ever done this? Does anyone have any suggestions on where to source the manual gearboxes??

need more than just a box try wreckers, or if your feeling wild by a wreck from an auction or something

needs pedals, ecu (preferably), loom, bellhousing, all the bits that live in the bellhousing ie clutch etc, ummm i think thats it

Been there done that, completed the EF, now converting the R33 to manual.

Your looking at $1000 - $1500 for parts ONLY, then comes labour.

I recommend, take on board the challenge and do it yourself. You will never want to do it again, save yourself heaps of dosh and be a proud manual driver, which you converted yourself.

Cost me $1800. Everything was brand spankin new from a very good friend at Ford ;) except the Box, pedal box and ECU.
