Only recently decided to upgrade the intercooler to something that will flow a little better when it comes time to upgrade. I got a hold of Turbo Tony's old core and had my old side tanks welded to it. The length is the same as my old one, but it is slightly higher and about half an inch thicker 3.5inch compared to 3inch. The one he's getting is a full inch thincker than his old one (4.5inches thick : )
Anyways, he's a front pic and another pic comparing the thickness of the two coolers. Due to the side tanks being cast, the corners split as they were stretching them out to match the width of the new cooler, so there are weld seams along the bottom of the tanks. Also, the material of the new core is different to that of the old so the welds are a little rusting but it beats paying for new tanks...
