Default Difference between EB2 and an ED?

hi guys, just was wondering what are the differences between an EB series 2 and an ED (apart from the grille)? reason is because there are 2 wagons that im considering buying. the EB2 is $4000 (250,000km) and the ED is $6000 (225,000km). They look identical to me (both white, same red pinstripe and even same bloody hubcaps!!) both are in very nice condition and i have always wanted a cruzing wagon for my first car.

cheers
dan

You're in morphett vale.. Buy my ea sedan :-)
Don't know alot about the differences.. ED's have colour coded door handles (sure eb1 didnt, maybe 2 did)
The k's are pretty much even, I'd hunt for service records on both the cars, chat to owners (you can usually spot the liars) and definitely take both for a test drive. If the ED rattled and the EB didnt, you'd go with the eb.
A vehicle can pretty much sell its self to you.

Have a look through the brochure scans in the gallery, they're quite good.

No real difference between the standard EBII and ED (besides ABS as standard on the ED fairmont). However, those prices seem a little high to me especially with the amount of K's on em both...

I think there are roughly 278 (give or take a few) component/mechanical changes from EBII to ED, and nooo, I can't list them all

Not all ED's had the EF style Rocker cover, only the cars built in the last 4 months.

You forgot the center rear lap sash seat belt John.

The standard diff was downgraded from 3.27 to 3.08, towing capacity was increased, side intrusion beams were fitted to the doors, Futura and later XR8 Sprint was added... nothing too exciting.

the rockers are the same as EF.

The ED also got different bonnet struts and also a 1 peice sump gasket on the 6, not to mention better door seals as well.
