i'd be checking for spark against the block and that fuel is definitely getting pumped through.

See if you can get 12V going to either side of the coil because even if the dissy is in the wrong position you still should get a misfire. Is it possible that the new modulator is also buggered?

I guess the timing is way out on the distributor then? There isn't a huge amount of detail. First, I'd double check everything is plugged in, and theres spark coming from a lead.

If you look for Top Dead Centre (TDC) on the harmonic balancer, which is behind the crank pulley, you should see the timing marks for TDC. Crank the motor so the marks line up (there is a pointer attached to the block which lines up with the balancer marks) with TDC, then set the distributor so it's pointing to where #1 lead is.

Thats as about as close as you will get it, then you'll need to set the timing properly with a timing light. I'm not 100% sure, but I think base timing for an EB 6 is 10deg, someone else should know.

Whats stopping it from pointing to #1 on the exhaust stroke or induction stroke, you'd be X degrees out...
Personally id remove the rocker cover to see what the valves were doing in relation to the firing order

Start back at the coil.

Remove the HT lead from the coil, put a longer (dizzy==>plug) lead on the coil and try and see if the coil is sparking at all.

NO==> remove coil and test it
YES==> Re-connect coil to dizzy

Spark from a spark plug lead on crank

NO==> check TFI(already done)
YES==> check timing (as said above)
