The other night i went to do a quick stand still in the ED (on private property of course ;)) and was given a nice surprise when she kicked out to the left. Thought that was just a freak occurance and tried it again, and same thing happened. Tonight i thought i'll give it another go seeing as it was very very wet the other day and was only a little damp this time, and again she kicked out. It never does it when hanging into corners and never bothered to do a stand still in the ED before so I always thought i had a single spinner. Did ED fairmonts come out with LSD's standard?? Couldn't be bothered checking so just wanted the low down on if they came out with LSD's or not???

i'd think it was like the rest of the models, not LSD standard, how ever it could be optioned with LSD.

If it's a LSD it could be getting worn and loosng the limited slip.

Most open centre diffs will start to spool up once you do enough burnouts on them. Apparently what happens is the spider gears try to weld themselves onto the shafts after a while.

Yeah my LSD is a bit inconsistent. If I boot it off the line it will spin both guaranteed. Turning right usually single spins and turning left it usually kicks out.

LSD wasnt factory on Fairmonts or Ghias in ED (It sucks doesnt it?) But was an option when you got a towpack.

Steve, don't be slack.
Jack up the rear and look. This saves guessing.

So is the LSD only an option? Not standard? I was under the impression all Ghia's were fitted with them from ED onwards, however I was shocked when I had the ИИИИ end up on my old man's EF Ghia and when I spun a wheel the other one spun in the opposite direction, very disapointing..

Well, I've got an LSD in the EA. According to the specification sheet, the LSD was standard on the Ghia.
