Default black stripes gone

gday all

as you might have guessed i have removed the black stripes from the el

this is what it looked like yesterday


this is what it looked like before it fell off


i will post more pics when i finish polishing the glue crap off

I agree with Wayne. Colour coded Fairmont ones or colour code the ones you just took off. That's what I would do.

get fairmont ones colour coded. or if you like it without them at least get some NL Fairlane clear repeaters!

I see it as a Work In Progress... if you could mount some custom side repeaters (BMW?) it would make the recessions in the doors and guard look mint.

do you have full pics of the car yet jase?

It's a bit difficult to say, but I normally think they look better on. It just looks far too empty and like something is missing without them.

Another vote for colour code them and put them back on. They're handy to have as well, if you leave them off, you'll soon notice extra dents in your doors.

The only EF/EL I've seen look good with no door moulds is FordFan351's white EF.

this is the drivers side finnished





also clear side repeaters are on order and the el goes in for a full external detail tomorrow

and yes i still have the trims so if i dont like the no trims i can colour code them

Clear indicators, 18's, lowered more, tinted windows, lose the mudflaps and pinstriping crap then it would look good with no side mouldings.
