Gday all
I picked up a cruise control kit from a AU2 i6 in the hope that it would fit the v8. Turns out that most of it seems good, except for 2 things. 1. the existing wiring loom in the car seemed to be already set up for cruise except for 1 plug. this is the loom that came with the kit: my loom already had everything except the blue plug at the bottom of the image - my guess is its for the clutch as it possibly came from a manual in which case I don't need it - is that right? 2. as the title says - the throttle connection has to be different. does anyone have a pic of what I need to hook it up - I assume I just need a different cable from the main cruise module but i don't know what parts I need so if anyone can help it'd be much appreciated TIA |

For the benefit of anyone reading this thread in the future - The cruise works fine so whatever the blue plug was for (still guessing clutch) I don't need it.
As for the difference between the 6 and 8, all the parts are the same except for the cable from the under-bonnet module to the throttle. cable cost $63 at the local dealer for the correct cable and it just clips over the existing throttle cable and bolts/screws into the side of the throttle bracket. |
