Default what would this be?

When i boot it the car gets a ticking noise afterwards that goes up and down with the revs. Obviously it's lifter noise but what would actually be happening? Would it just be a sticky lifter?

The noise disappears if you drive the car normally for a while and isn't there on startup, but rev it to 4500+ and it comes back for a min or so.

It's got so much power that the lifters don't bleed at high revs man (whatever that means ;)), I thought I already told you : :tosser1:

Actually thinking about it more, maybe the oil pump aint cuttin' it at high revs because it's dying in the ****?

I'm gonna put my hand up as well and say that mine has done this before when I booted it next to a skyline and missed 2-3 shift, Slammed accelerator down and it revved to past redline and the ticking began and stayed for about a minute. Dont know what it was, but i've since changed the lifters so hopefully Its all good.

I'd still be interested to know what it was though!

My guess its lifter leakdown, at high rpm the lifters cant hold the oil pressure and the lifters are leaking down.
