love it, this will be another one of my mods list! so my joining the courtesy lights to the roof light it dosent lose any power? or dosent it matter? also did you do the door handle light to come on when the door opens or is it always on?

i just read that tutorial on fordmods.com and it says something about a plug. whats the plug and whats it used for?

was it a pretty simple task?

looking great anyway mate, damn you live up on the gold coast, im in central vic so its not very likely i'l get to see your car in the flesh!

good to hear bout your paintwork!!

so with the door handle lights, you just ran a wire down to hack into the interior light wire? obviously with the resistor attached to the LED.

Im off to go get some more wire, and ive just realised there are no wires at all going to the back door!
Does anyone know if the ltds had them in the back or were the lights only in the front handles?
Cheers

fairmont or fairmont ghia (cant recall what spec got them) had the courtesy lamps in the bottom of the door trim , plus, fairmont and up had power windows so had wiring going to the rear doors for that....

nothing actually had lights in the handles...... as far as im aware anyway....

there should be a rubber grommet in the door and in the B pillar for the loom.... i cant imagine they would have different door presses for low and high spec....

i'll see if i can get you some pics of where the loom goes through later......

hey, just done the same mod but with red LEDs.
the clip behind the handle is just so when you take the door trim off you can disconnect the handle and light. i just used 9v battery clips
leds with a resistor is such a simple n cheap mod and is effective
well done with yur job looks great
