Default El Or Ef Xr6?

hey guys,
i currently own a EL gli 4L... i have recently got a pay rise and i dont know what to do. my options are as follows,
1. keep the gli get an exhuast system extractors etc
2. buy a el or ef xr6 and do a little bit of work to it nothing major though.

As i have never driven a xr6 can someone please tell me what the major difrences of driving it to a gli as iam not sure if it would be worth buying a new car.

oh and is there much difrence between the ef and el xr6
