Heading to a Uni Res School and thought I better get the car checked over and make sure I'm not going to fall off the side of the Gibraltar Range. Lucky I did.
The two lower ball joints, a tie rod and some kind of boot are all buggered. (Apparently the other tie rod and boot thingy are new) There is 8 or something mm play in the ball joints, make a hell of a racket. Luckily I've only driven the car 7,000km since I got it, over a year ago. I'm just wondering how much I should pay for that stuff to be replaced (I'm supplying the ball joints as they came with the car but nothing else) along with a wheel alignment? Old mate said $200 as a worst case scenario, but I don't know my **** from my elbow with this kind of stuff. Does that sound fair? If it makes a difference, it's for an EBI XR8. Lumpy
