Hi, I have an AU-2 Falcon wagon on dedicated gas and today just after I filled up it started stalling when the transmission was shifted from drive to either park or neutral. The funny thing is it starts and runs ok in park and neutral. I tested the inhibitor switch on the side of the trans ie,5 volts between terminals and all the resistances fall within their tolerances for all the trans positions , park to 1st. I have cleaned all the terminals etc so hoping this may help or might get another inhibitor switch just in case this one is intermittantly faulty.
(I don'tthink filling up with gas had anything to do with it but I also over filled the windscreen washer bottle which may have wet something down the passenger inside bonnet side) Not sure what else to check. The only sure thing I know is that it dies when shifted from drive to neutral or park. If anyone has ideas on what could be causing this problem it would be much appreciated. |
