Hi guys
Some of you may recall (and thanks for the help and advice, btw) that I purchased a Ghia interior for my Fairmont a couple of weeks back. Anyway, I picked it up last Saturday about lunchtime... and with my old man's help, had it in by 11pm. It was a surprisingly easy process (aside from a small hiccup with the electric mirror switch) and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Fairmont already had the wiring for the electric driver's seat (woohoo!) and front courtesy lamps. Only real problem I have is that inexplicably there didn't seem to be any wiring present for the rear courtesy lamps so those remain unlit for now. Haven't had the chance to take any pics until today, but here they are! Needless to say I am absolutely stoked with the results. I went to town on the seats with some leather cleaner and they feel and smell fantastic. Shameless plug: I have a whole bunch of goodies out of the old interior up for sale in the for-sale section, including a complete velour trim, a leather t-bar shifter and a woodgrain & chrome t-bar surround ------------------BEFORE------------ -------------------AFTER------------- ^^^ this seat doesn't really have a yellow tinge, it's just my sh!tty camera
