Default forgive me i drive a holden/auII prob

friend of mine has an auII the problem is he blew a fuse,
for the power window, now repco has told him that this fancy fuse need's to be reprogrammed?????WTF
the visual apparance of this fuse is a blade type but longer 30a 12v and metal skin!!
to me this should be a time out fuse and reset.
has he heard the advise wrong or is repco off tap...
