Question EB Fairmont Ghia Air-conditioning Woes

I need some ideas on what the problem is with the air-conditioning in my Fairmont Ghia.

First of all the car was retro fitted with the 134A gas system about seven months ago. On New Years day when the ambient temperature was at about 41 I turned the a/c on only to be bathed in air that was hotter than the air outside. I had the climate control set on not recirulate and the windows wound up. The car had been in the garage all day and was not in the slightest bit hot.

Last week I had the a/c checked - my mechanic is still closed so I used a specialist a/c service centre. A quick check revealed that the system was fully gassed and the evidence of the smallest of leaks (still to be determined) in the pipe leading from the condenser, I think (the cylinder in front of the radiator). The guy said that may just be when the mechanic swapped pipes, etc over.

Anyway since then I have run the a/c with the climate control at minimum - 16 degrees and it doesn't seem to be blowing cold air into the cabin. Also there is a slight hissing sound coming from the front passenger foot well. I would appreciate any constructive ideas on what the problem could be. :
