Talking Exhaust upgrade for Yum-Yum

G'day guy's and girls,
well I've been given the go ahead to do an exhaust upgrade and have a place in mind to get the job done. I've done a little ground work to see what others have and what seems to work on the AU's I6
Pacemaker Comp Extractors, Hi' Flow Cat, 2½" straight through system which seems to be the norm for most.
I was hoping you guys could help me with some knowledge on the Cat part, and if it's necessary as the outfit I'm going to says they usually take it straight out and spoke of a big bore...I thought they were only ever good on 8's?
I have to ring them on Monday to get a set of Pacemaker Comps sent up from down south and go over again what it is I'm really wanting.
I've got a grand to play with for this so any and all info would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers all.
