Default Theoretical question about ITB's

Plain and simple how do they get vacuum??
It's just one of those stupid things that's been on the back of my mind ever since I had my XD Fairmount (F I miss that car😭 lol). Seen on in a magazine somewhere that one had ITB on a six and has always wondered how it would get vacuum
