Just out of curiosity can any one tell me what to expect to pay for a GOOD set of EL XR8 rims. And confirm that the EF XR8 and EL XR6 and 8 all had the same rims didn't they? Have heard a few story's from them costing not much cos no one wants them, to costing heaps cos there not real common. (i haden't noticed a shortage but maybe there a futre classic).
Any advice appriciated Cheers H |

No idea about the rims, but check what section you're posting in mate. This would have been better posted in the E-Series General Section.

I've moved it
EDIT: To answer your question, my brother sold a set for $550 about a year ago. That was with one punctured tyre and not much tread on the others. $600 seems to be about the going rate.

Series 1 EF XR8 did not have the FTRs (if that is the rim you are talking about). Don't know about the rest.

There were a couple of different wheels available in EF & EL XR6 & XR8.
EF XR came standard with these wheels. EL XR were available with these shonky looking wheels I'm almost certain that if the bodykit was optioned on both EF & EL then the FTR's came standard. For a top condition set of FTR's with good rubber, they could fetch around the $700-750 mark.

My EF2 XR6 had the Bodykit and 16" wheels options ticked when originally purchased.
Never knew that if you got the bodykit you also got the wheels, i always thought they would have been seperate options... |

Come to think of it your probably right on that one.
I just don't recall seeing a Bodykitted EF or EL without FTR's.

Thanks for moveing it for me. Yeah its the FTR's I'm after, have seen a couple of sets for sale now I know what sort of price range to look at can use it as a bit of a bargaining tool.
Would any one happen to know what a set of EL GT rims are worth? Cheers H |

Im also 99.9% sure that XR8's had the option of the Fairlane Sportsman rims, although they were probably meant for XR's before the 'lanes; trying to move stock later on I guess...LOl
