Default Lowering

Hi Guys, My rear shockies are just about had it and i thought it would be a good excuse to lower my car, now my question is, what shock absorbers and springs should i buy, i dont want the car to be too low, just enough to make a noticable difference.

No problems, its a common question on the Forums and although it was a common question it was too hard for me to find photo's of cars with different springs so thats why i started that thread - awesome that it helped you as well.

if you buy the parts yourself on ebay you can easily get 4 springs/4shocks for $500 ish inc postage..and if you call the main franchises around your suburb like jax, kmart, midas, pedders etc I'm sure you could get away with a few hundred bucks in labor....having said that $1000 is not a bad price if you got a good quality brand of shocks like bilstein

cheers

$250 for springs only? That's not cheap, that's about $50 above retail.

Autobarn. He knocked the price down to $180 odd because I got shocks at the same time though. I'd dig up the receipt but I can't be stuffed.

I got lucky with mine.

Full set (front and rear) of Kings SL for $120 brand new off eBay, plus freight and fitted them myself, with a couple of mates on a workshop hoist. Then I sold the Kings lows that I took out, for $100.

Including freight the new super lows ended up costing me around $60.

The point is I'm pretty happy with them, and love the way the car sits now.
