Good price on a EL XR8

I spotted an 1996 EL XR8 for $6950 without roadie and reg due it being an out of Victorian car and it has 5 i repeat 5 FTRs onbord, alarm, no sound system, no engine cover, and twin airbags i dont know if the smartlock worked or not. The guy took me for a spin in it and it was tight and done 150 to 180kms pretty low, took off like a jackrabbit to boot!

good deal or not? i think it could have been a cop car from NSW

If it's the one I'm thinking of (ex-NSW cop car in VIC) just make sure you get it all checked thoroughly. There's been one floating about on carsales, ebay and the trading post on and off for about a year now I think, and from what I remember there was some dodginess to it, something about not being able to re-register it or something.

Anyhow, probably a different car but thought I'd mention it just in case.

As for price, allow $1000-$1500 to get it registered and RWC.
