Yep
Won a T5 tranny on Ebay last night, according to the seller is recently reco, looks good in the pics anyway mine for 400 bucks also received this email from the seller Hi Garth Thanks for your successful bid. I have just had a look at what E-series parts I have and I am surprised to be able to tell you that I have the folowing- bellhousing, throwout lever with excellent bearing, flywheel and clutch pressure plate ( both pretty grotty from sitting on shelf and need a bloody good wire brush cleanup / resurface- excellent ring gear teeth ) , flywheel lower cover , exceptional looks like new clutch driven plate, shifter lever ( no knob or the rubber insulator). Can't find the correct long clutch cable- about all that is missing. Would do you the lot for $100-hope that seems ok- can maybe get you a clutch cable too given a little time. Would ship everything in two packs- gearbox and a box with flywheel ,etc- so shipping would be about $100. Ok so basically i am missing as far as I can tell a clutch, clutch cable and pedal box. I'll be talking to AU_Forte about a clutch, i think he was able to get a decent one cheapish, i was also going to use a mal wood pin kit so i dont have to go buy a pedal box. What stregthening will i need to get done while im installing the gearbox? i know i have to do something with the firewall, but what about the pedal box with the mal wood kit? ECU is taken care of as i have a EL XR6 one here ready to go in. Has anyone also got any good ideas about shifter boot and gearknob? my car is cappuchino inside

Nice buy old mate. You'll be loving your car on a whole new level once it's installed. Only thing I think you'd be missing is a spigot bearing and the clutch clevis and bushes, both pretty cheap from Ford. Also i'd recommend a new clutch kit and flywheel machineing, you don't wanna be mixin and matchin clutch plates and old presure plates. ;)
Good luck with it. |
