How are you all going!
I was wondering if anybody with their AU has installed a Dev 5 Kit by JMM? It costs $5,500 which sounds very reasonable and they say you can get 170kw out of it. If anybody has had the kit installed, what are your thoughts on it? Is it reliable? What are your times on the strip? What where your gains in power and such? I live in Canberra, and it sounds like a really good upgrade, and I wouldnt mind driving down to melbourne, and staying a few nights for my car to get fitted with the kit :evil3: |

Id like to know as well because I was going to save up and get a Turbo, but the price, engineering and insurance would be too much, so I have been thinking about the DEV5 in about a year would be a better option. Maybe tax time? :Reverend:

THe kit itself seems very proven, while not an AU, EL Ghia in his EL Ghia Auto :P ran 14.7 with the Dev 5 kit.
If you do get it and your AU has the stock diff ratio, i'd recommend getting a 3.45LSD or shorter diff ratio fitted to help the launch, big cams and tall diff gears don't go overly well together. A number of people are running low 14's in manual form with the Dev 5 kit

You will get a lumpier idle and the car will be thirstier on fuel. I never had any dramas with bad idle or stalling, even with the aircon on. You'll lose a bit down low but gain stacks more mid to top end power.
