I've got to change my power steering pump today (straight 6 99 au lane) Just need to know how much power steering fluid I need to purchase?

To be safe, get 2 litres. You may want to consider changing all the fluid. The stuff in the rack could be old?

yes i would doing a flush of the system, i did on mine a couple of years ago, well worth it i think , clean oil = system longjevity.... we hope .

How do you go about flushing out the system? I'll be changing out the pump but was going to leave the rack alone..

you disconnect the return line from the rack, place the end in a two litre bottle, start engine and pour clean fluid into the pump till the fluid coming out is clean, then reconnect the hose.
