not much, but its about to become a whole lot more expensive, need to get the exhaust fixed tapets(?) replaced, resprayed and straightened, new interior, and then comes the rego.
All up in roughly a year of knowing the car there has been $3000 (insurance adn rego.... bastards) thats it

My eb cost me $1300. I spent roughly $10K on mods. $400 or so on repairs. Owned for 11 months IIRC.

The trick is to only add it up AFTER you sell it/scrap it to Simsmetal...

Since I purchased the EB2 XR8 for $13000 I am at about $30000 and still more to come worth of work. Probably end up around $50000-55000 when I am finished. It's all worth it though, it's the last good looking falcon from ford, Iam still undecided on the BA-BF.

Very limited choice in poll, I would thing most people spend $5000+
Some spend 10k, 15k or 20k!

Mines up to around the $36,000 mark.
$4,000 for a clean 1990 EA Falcon S with only 110,000kms on the clock - 4 years ago. $6,000 in motor repairs after one mechanic stuffed the car up. then the shop that repaired the initial stuff up did a dodgy job. $15,000 complete rebuilt motor with aftermarket pistons and cam fully blueprinted and crack tested crank and rods. Full transmission rebuild with shiftkit and 2,500RPM High Stall Convertor. Aftermarket Management System. $5,000 on two turbos and piping, intercooler etc. - Still fabricating manifold. $2,400 on 2 LSD diff replacements $3,600 after crashing the car in the wet avoiding another car who was on the wrong side of the road. No Insurance Coverage - Policy Void due to modifications to engine and aftermarket management system. Turbos Not Installed Yet. Alot more money than that spent of general servicing and Tyres. At least a set a month. Around 48 rear tyres in the last two years. But what price do you put on fun. |

$5000, I wish! My EB isn't even worth that and I've spend close to 6 times that amount modding it. EF isn't so bad, only a couple of hurdred at the moment, looking to spend about $6000 in the coming months with EL XR front conversion, 19' (hopefully) Sabers, and EL GT wheel. Of course I could do it sooner if someone bought my EBGT rims (hint hint)

Parts and servicing about 3k on my car, doing 99% of the work yourself helps keep costs down.

Probably nearing $15k, so not that much considering what's been done to it, and it's almost finished. Probably another $500-$1000 before it's at the stage where I can leave it alone, enjoy it and keep my hands clean.
