My complaint is that I have a creek in the front end sometimes and not others ..... its never there long enough for me to find it .... I want that fixed
the ride in my car is very hard .. I want it softer. I got my car sitting nice and flat ... kyb shockers ultra lows and supper lows do the job. |

Why does it need to sit on 1100rpm when the fans are on?? -Cant keep Heritage Green clean! I drive down my driveway once and you cant tell if ts been washed. -minor brake shudder/pulses, as well as minor shakes at 100km. Some days. |

Another vote here for V8 cooling system leakage.
Blend door motor. BTR 1st gear ratio, and BTRs in standard form. Cupholders aren't a problem for me :P |

My old EB had never-ending leaks. The EL doesn't leak, had a dodgy coolant reservoir cap, replaced it and it's now fine.
The real no. 1 thing that annoys me in these cars is the dodgy front end discs, second to that is the front k-frame knock which I've had in every single E-Series that I've owned. Reverse when you've got it hooked to the right I think and then hit the brakes and *bang* the whole thing knocks hard. Anyone got a fix to this one? It was a known issue in EA, there were recalls and everything. Hmmm, other than that any sort of squeak or rattle. All older cars have that though. Sundeep |

1. steering shake :(
2. dezza-spec 3. antenna stuck in the up position 4. fake woodgrain trim falls off the doors 5. dash rattles I think I'm doing a really good job of talking up e-series cars, don't you?

I know the main rattles all EL's seem to have is a cracked top right dash mount which creaks on the firewall, front seat belt height adjustment locker thing creaks, ashtray's rattle and steering columns start making funky noises if you leave your rotors warped for too long. Sundeep |

1. lack of cup holders, allthough large maccas n subway cups fit in the gap in front of auto shifter.
2. those ******* saggy bumpers that i just cant fix!!! 3. Crappy electrics, numerous things like trip computer, power windows, mirrors, and that stupid power antenna **** up. E series are ageing a bit now though so ill let them off

My cars been good lately, but these are the most common things that still eat at me.
1) My Diff Whining (its loud) 2) Random noises underneith the car that crunch n clunk as im driving, worse in the wet (has to be tailshaft/diff related) 3) It's just not reliable anymore.

My 5 main gripes would be:
a) Lack of cupholders b) Tiny Brakes c) Weak stock gearboxes d) Gay wheel offset e) Not enough steering lock ;) On the plus side: a) I've never done a head gasket b) Current Auto box is smoother than most commo's I've driven, and it's got 178,000km on it! c) Cheap easily available spare parts d) SOOOOOO EASY TO WORK ON! You guys have no idea. e) Big fricken engine that is strong as an ox, responds VERY well to mods, LOVES boost, and even looks nice sitting in the engine bay. f) Handling easy to sort with springs, shocks and swaybars g) Parts interchangability! All the I6s are interchangable, near everything else too with a little effort h) They look HOT i) Excellent visibility from inside the car - newer cars are teh suck when reverse parking or changing lanes. E-series are brilliant in that respect j) Diffs are strong once you throw in a lockright, which is easy to do at home k) Easy to fit a T56 into if you have a mig (I'll probably be selling kits once I get my car up and running as a demo...) l) Go faster than the equivalent model commo for the same outlay on mods m) Lots of room inside for long distance travel or carrying stuff (or being naughty in the back with the ladies ;)) n) Boot height is perfect for alfresco naughtyness with superlows in a EA/D o) Center console and door arm rest are the perfect height to rest your elbows on while driving p) They do good skids q) A turbo E-series is special, whereas a turbo skyline/silvia/180/whatever import is not r) Less likely to attract police attention than said imports s) Said import drivers HATE it when you beat them t) Easy to make fast Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. Might add a few more later. |

1) Noisy front suspension/steering/bearings (makes a lot of clunks and the bearings squeel when they are cold)
2) Drivers Door, got hit at safeway so looks crap and isn't water tight 3) Its not worth anything!!! I can't justify putting it on gas, because my insurance company will write it off over the smallest claim (can't argue tho, costs next to nothing for "farm" insurance) On a positive note my cup holder works a treat!
