Iv just recently bought a series 2 220kw XR8 and am wondering what types of fuels people have had problems with and what seems to work well. Also, have people tried 95 Ethanol?
One other problem that bugs me is that when refueling, the filler hose seems like its blocked. It takes forever to put $30 in : Has anyone else had this problem?

I runmy 185 on BP Ultimate. IMHO, for me at the moment, I will not touch E10 until I've upgraded the rubber fuel lines

I use bp ultimate 98 octane. generally get around 450kms per tank with a combination of driving roads and styles.
I also have the problem of a slow fill up. It likes to click off constantly unless trickling fuel in. I dont know why it does this but its very slow and anoying.

Re: your 2500rpm aroundtown comment, mine doesnt like shifting below 3-3.5 grand. Feels like im crunching if I try to shift at low revs. Ive found BP well and truly gets the best mileage, and is the best all-round fuel. I get 500kms to the tank atm mostly freeway (but all the roadworks work against me) |

i run my 220kw on mostly caltex premium. i've only done about 16,000km on this fuel. But seen no trouble yet. I have found that if i insert the fuel nozzle as far as it will go then i do have trouble to fill it how-ever letting it hang down just that little bit it seems to be fine. congratulations on the new purchase mate.

Mine has the Unichip but I can get 450-500klm in town, all depend's on how it is driven and the distance that I am travelling ( ie, across town or just 2min's away) and also whether it's winter or summer weather aswell.
