My EF

hey guys. just thought that it was time to post some pics of my EF.
as you can see its stock as a rock (bar the driving lights ), it needs a new left headlight and painted left blinker but other than that shes in top condition. within the next 12mths it will be a 14 second sleeper!!

Mods will include: 3000 hi-stall,4.11's,LSD,Cam,Headers/Exhaust and Superlows (im keeping the hubcaps,hence "SLEEPER"). After i get off my P's i will be doing a Rebuild with a Turbo and Aiming for 200rwkw, which i think is a nice round figure. hopefully then it will be a 13 second car!!!!

Iv only got 2 pics at the moment but i will be adding some shortly!! Looking forward to hearing some comments!

yer im not sure which colour i like, ill try fluro pink next , no it was because some nice person decided they wanted it more than me when it was parked on the street, so i bought a new one but havnt painted it yet :

LOL. One of my friends was the same with his NL Fairlane. He had one silver mirror and one black one. Then someone broke his silver one so he has 2 black ones

Looks tidy. The nudge bar and driving lights would really add to the sleeper look!

LOL yer i can imagine some smart*** pulling up next to me at the lights, thinking "ill show this wally with his driving lights" only for me to have crossed the other side of the intersection before he even leaves :

i was just thinking about the Hi-Stall. i want maximum performance, im not worried about fuel economy. i know that a I6 produces max torque(357nm) @ 3000rpm so is a 3000 stally to high?? or would a 2500-2800 be better? i have no idea about stallys and i thought i would ask someone that knows best!

I had a 2700 in mine and it was very entertaining, but still tight enough to drive pretty much close to stock when cruising. Having said that, I'd probably go for a 3000 next time around, but you need to make sure of a few things for driveability and longevity:

Retain the converter lock up - this locks the converter at higher speeds so when you're sitting on the freeway for example, your converter isn't slipping still. This gives you better economy.

Fit a decent trans cooler kit, as a hi stall will cook your trans fluid, which will kill your transmission. Decent kits start from about $100 or so, and are reasonably easy to fit yourself.

At anything above 2700 stall, your car will sometimes go into Limp Home Mode (LHM) which locks your tranny in 3rd gear. When this happens you have to switch the car off and restart. Shiftkits.com.au now have wire in modules to solve this problem.
