I have a June 2002 build AUIII Fairmont, so well towards the end of the AU production run.
It definitely has a driver and passenger airbag, but I've never been sure about additional ones... some docs say it has side/curtain airbags, some don't mention anything besides the D&P bags. I can see there's a black metal tube under the seat which has the name of a manufacturer associated with guns, I think it's a seatbelt pretensioner. Is there a definitive document somewhere that says which series/years/models had which SRSs? Or is there a way to tell with visual inspection? |

All mine had just 2
But if there is one there will be a "Airbag" tag on it. The seats will have a cloth tag saying airbag on the side stitching and the curtain airbags have an airbag sign on the b pillar. The cylinder under the seat is the pretensioner. |
