Hey guys,
Went halvies on another 'investment vehicle' with needfordspeed. It's an ED Ghia exactly the same as JohnXR6's but needs a fair bit of work. Anyways, the car has only 1st and 3rd gear. I checked up the diagnosis guide in the Ford Workshop manual and it says "B1 Band Failure". How hard is that to change? The car still has overdrive (fake 5th) but it disengages at the lightest throttle input. Should I try other stuff like inhibitor switch and TPS? Anyways, your input is appreciated. I'll get some pics of it soon, it's a pretty neat looking car but the owner never looked after it. Sundeep |

Can't help you Sunny, but my old auto had the same thing happen. The trans place said it'd need to be rebuilt, or a new trans. It was going to cost a lot $$$$.
