Just wondering what the widest width tyre you
can use on the rears of an EF. Rims will be 19's and using spacers. Cheers Rod

Well first of all wat width are the 19" rims.. I am running 245/35 r19 and still have heaps of room in the rear.. you could prob go to a 275 or 285 without to many dramas..
Cheers, Nik

It depends on the offset and ride height as well. 285's fit with the car lowered less than 2" from stock.
With 9.5" rims, you can run anything from 245's to 295's, although anything skinnier than 275 will look like a wannabe drifter, and make the rim a lot more prone to gutter damage.

Intresting, Can people with 265-285's take photos of the rear and how much room they have. I'm running 255's and have stacks of room and my next set will be 275 (or 285 if somone actualy makes 285/35/17)'s

Sorry to be a wet blanket but i don't believe can get insurance with 9.5" rims? I was under the impression that 8.5" was the max allowable on EF/ELs.

Just a quick one to show the room available. These rims are +8 offset i believe with 255's.
