Default nylon long life additive any good ??

i am thinking of adding some nylon long life additive which is supposed to protect car on cold starts etc,any members feel is it a waste of money or is it quite safe to add to engine

if its got PTFE in it, id say it cant be too bad cos what i hear that sticks to components real well which would help lubricate on starts.
