Default EB & ED Weapons

Just bought myself a 94' ED Fairmont, lovely ride, but I have 3 questions.

1. Trip computer says average fuel at 17ltr/100km, but I am only driving normal on Economy mode, but when I fill up the fuel gauge only goes to a bit over 3/4 mark. Why the high fuel use?

2. My mate has a 93' EB series 2 Fairmont Ghia 4ltr which has a hose that is connected via a 'T' piece fitting to the bleeder hose that runs between the thermostat housing & the coolant reservoir, it connects in near the thermostat housing and runs to the rear of the engine and is Tapped into the head on the drivers side. Any clues as to why? And should I do the same?

3. What is the difference between the 91-AA head & the 94-AB head?

Any help on these issues or any other issues with these models would be a great help.

Fuel use could be many things.
There is many threads on this.

That T peice has been added when a headgasket was done, it makes the rear of the head the same temp as the front of the head, also helps with bleeding ect.

94AB is an EF head.

The 91-AA head is from EB/ED and the 94-AB is from EF/EL, basicaly. However, the head that is on any given vehicle now days is not an exact science.
Can't help with the other stuff.

1. What kind of driving do you do? City driving? I'm assuming it's an auto as well. Constant stop-start driving will incur a thirst for fuel consumption.

2. dunno

3. [edit] I was wrong with my answer here

Thanks for the feedback.

Quick question for EDXR6, the 94-AB head is on my ED Fairmont, are there any pro's or con's for having the EF head on there?

No cons
Well, remember that(you have an EF head) when you need a rocker cover gasket as you should have a different rocker cover.

All pros!
Better valves and stems.
I think they flow better than AA heads (not 100% on this)

I fitted one at work to an ED, it was soooo quiet and ran like a dream after it was fitted.
